What happened: Royals outfielder Joey Gathright makes one of the most athletic plays you will see on a baseball diamond.
Why you may care: Most of you may not know Joey Gathright. He’s a former top prospect for the Tampa Bay Rays who is now a mediocre outfielder for the Royals. There were always stories about his leaping ability, including supposedly being able to leap over two cards.
In Monday’s spring training game, Gathright lept leaping over Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda on his way to first base.
