Parcells fires Dolphins GM Mueller; now eyeing Cowboys Ireland

Bill Parcells has begun cleaning house in Miami, firing general manager Randy Mueller, assistant director of player personnel Mike Baugh and college scouting coordinator Rick Thompson on Monday.
The fate of coach Cam Cameron is still up in the air, pending a conversation with Parcells later this week. On Sunday, the Dolphins became only the eighth team to finish 1-15.
Parcells began work Thursday as executive vice president of football operations.
Mueller was the Dolphins' general manager for three seasons but was in charge of personnel decisions only since coach Nick Saban left a year ago.
Parcells also received permission from the Cowboys to interview Jeff Ireland to be the team's new GM, according to Foxsports.com
Dolphins sources say that Ireland, the Cowboys VP of College and Pro Scouting, is expected to interview for the job tomorrow.
Ireland reportedly has been Parcells’ target all along. It's expected that Parcells will offer Ireland the job and equally as expected that Ireland accepts.
Parcells worked with Ireland from 2004-06 while he was coaching the Cowboys. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who also serves as the general manager, told the Dallas Morning News earlier this week that Ireland is welcome to advance his career, but not before the April draft is concluded.
