With the 2011-12 college football season officially over, fans and followers across the country are preparing for almost three weeks of action featuring a total of 35 bowl games, including the traditional and always popular Sugar, Rose and Cotton Bowls. The 2011-2012 NCAA Football Bowl schedule will be headlined by the Jan. 9 BCS national championship game in New Orleans. The game features a rematch between SEC teams LSU and Alabama, marking the first time in the history of the BCS that two teams from the same conference will meet in the title game and first time the championship game brings a regular-season game rematch. (LSU won 9-6 in overtime in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 5).
