The 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl may present one of the most exciting games of the College Football postseason when the no. 8 Kansas State Wildcats (Big 12) meet the no. 6 Arkansas Razorbacks (SEC) at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Game Overview:

Both teams have had positive seasons this year. Kansas State reached the 10 wins mark for the first time in eight years.  The team closed the regular season with a 10-2 record, losing to Big 12 teams Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.  The Wildcats' most notable victories this season are 28-24 at Miami, 36-35 at home vs. Baylor and 17-13 at Texas.

The Hogs also account two losses this season against the best two teams in the NCAA Football: No 2. Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 1 LSU Tigers (Both teams will be meeting in the BCS title game on Monday, January 9th). The Wildcats also won notable games, including a 42-38 victory over Texas A&M on a neutral field, 38-14 at home against Auburn and 44-28 at home against South Carolina.

In its overall bowl appearances, Arkansas holds a 12-23-3 record, which includes two losses, the 2008 Cotton Bowl to Missouri (38-7) and the Sugar Bowl to Ohio State last January (31-26).  In the other hand, Kansas State has lost three straight bowl games and is currently 6-8 all-time. The Razorbacks are 3-7-1 in the Cotton Bowl, while the Wildcats are 1-1 in two appearances. The Wildcats last played in the Cotton Bowl in 2001, beating Tennessee 35-21.
