Overview:

Atlanta had a rough night in Indiana on Wednesday, scoring only nine points in the third quarter in its 84-96 loss against the Pacers.  The Hawks are 7-4 on the season with all four losses coming against some top tier teams.  The team is 3-2 in their last five games, with the two losses coming against the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers.

That's probably not good news for the Charlotte Bobcats as they visit the Hawks (7-4) on Thursday. The struggling Charlotte Bobcats will come into the game holding a 2-8 record. The Bobcats have
been beaten by at least 12 points four times in their seven games since January 1^st, including an 82-70 loss to Houston on Tuesday.  That game also marked their lowest score in a home game since a 93-62 loss to Boston on Dec. 11, 2010. The Bobcats are 1-4 in their last five games, with the only victory for the Charlotte coming against the Knicks.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS (2-8): Backup center Byron Mullens, acquired in a trade with Oklahoma City during training camp, continues to make strides in his third NBA season. He has scored in double figures in six of the last eight games and recorded his second double-double of the season against Houston with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mullens has shown the range to shoot from the perimeter and also is effective in the lane.

ABOUT THE HAWKS (7-4): The Hawks are dealing with multiple injuries. Forward Marvin Williams has missed the last two games due a sprained ankle. Guard Tracy McGrady was a late scratch Wednesday because of back spasms, while center Al Horford sustained a shoulder injury in the first quarter and didn't return. It's uncertain if any of the players will be able to recover in time for the match vs. Charlotte as the Hawks play their third game in four nights.
