Game Overview:

For the second straight season, the San Antonio Spurs (23-9) have the possibility to stretch their winning record to 12 consecutive games, but first, they must find a way to win Tuesday night’s game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Spurs have the second-best record in the Western Conference and fourth-best in the NBA. Currently, the team holds an 11-game winning streak (the longest-active winning streak in the NBA) and a 7-0 mark on the annual Rodeo Road Trip.  Additionally, the Spurs have let only 1 opponent reach 100 points in a non-overtime game during this stretch, and have averaged 107.3 points in the last three games. They also continue to win the close ones, winning the last four games by seven or less points.

Now the Spurs will try to extend a winning streak that dates to a 101-100 overtime loss at Dallas on January 29th (NBA’s longest winning mark of the season) and snap a six-game road skid (the team's longest current losing streak to a single opponent) against the Trail Blazers that dates back to 2008, when the Spurs lost 72-65.

The Blazers (17-16), on the other hand, recently ended a four-game slide in Portland with a 97-77 win versus the Hawks, and extended its home record to 12-5 this season. However, the Trail Blazers visited the Lakers on Monday to eventually fall 103-92, which represents their fourth loss in their last six outings.  Portland will now prepare to play four of the next five games at the Rose Garden Arena. The Trail Blazers already suffered a 99-83 reverse at San Antonio on January 13th, but have won eight of the past 10 in this series.
