MNF Recap and early lines for Week 14
By Inspin.com on Dec 06, 2011

After last night’s Monday Night NFL is over and the Chargers thrashing of the Jaguars is done, the top seven teams remain unchanged at the end of week 13, since they all won their respective games.

With a six game losing streak behind them the Chargers where able to keep their postseason hopes alive, thanks to Philip Rivers and his three touchdowns and nearly 300 yards giving San Diego a 38-14 win on Monday Night Football.

Jacksonville fought back from a 10-0 deficit in the second quarter behind Blaine Gabbert, but Rivers pulled some magic and San Diego some separation just before half time with a pair of touchdowns in the final minutes.

Then the Chargers put the game away pretty early with another touchdown in the third quarter before there was just some semi-meaningless football to be played late into the evening until the clock ran out.

With the win, San Diego improves to 5-7. The Chargers sit just two games back of co-division leaders Denver (with whom San Diego split the season series 1-1) and Oakland (who San Diego faces again in Week 17).

As we reach the final quarter of the season, here’s what’s next in week 14 action.
