Game Overview:

The NCAA Basketball action will continue tonight when the 20th-ranked Michigan Wolverines (15-5, 5-2 Big Ten) try to achieve their first true road win of the season vs. Purdue Boilermakers in a Big Ten hoops battle set to take place in West Lafayette.

Michigan had a series of difficulties when playing on the road, losing their true road games vs. Arkansas, Virginia, Indiana and Iowa.  The coming schedule don't get much easier with four of their next five coming at Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan State and Nebraska.

Purdue (14-6, 4-3) is coming off one of its worst performances of the season vs. Michigan State last weekend. The Boilermakers lost 83-58 to Michigan State on Saturday, shooting season lows of 29% from the field and 15% (3 of 20) from 3-point range.  So far this season, Purdue has not lost back-to-back games but they are 0-2 against ranked teams, losing to then-No 16 Alabama (65-56) on Nov. 20 and No. 9 Michigan State Saturday.

The Wolverines lost 80-57 at home to Purdue last Dec. 28th. Additionally, the team has dropped five of six games in the series vs. Purdue since its 78-67 victory on Feb. 19, 2003, and has been outscored by an average of 15.4 points when playing at the Mackey Arena. Although, Purdue was ranked among the Top 25 in each of those matches, while the Wolverines were not even ranked.
