NCAAF College Football – Opening Line Movement
By Dave Johnson on Nov 28, 2011

By Dave Johnson, Inspin Betting Expert, November 28th, 2011

Date: Friday, December 2nd Autzen Stadium – Eugene, OR

Game: 307 UCLA Bruins vs. 308 Oregon Ducks (Pac 12 Championship game)

Opener: Oregon -29.5-110

Current Line: Oregon -31-110

Summary: The Ducks garnered some early attention driving this game from the opener of- 29.5 to the current line of -31. A win over UCLA would earn Oregon a spot in the Rose Bowl on January 2nd.

UCLA has stumbled to the finish line losing 50-0 to USC and then backing into the conference championship last week with Colorado's 17-14 win over Utah. Oregon running back, LaMichael James, is listed as probable for this game after injuring his elbow in the 49-21 win over the Oregon State Beavers this past week. James leads the Ducks with 1,427 yards rushing and 14 td's on the season.

Date: Saturday, December 3rd

Game: 309 Connecticut Huskies vs. 310 Cincinnati Bearcats

Opener: Cincinnati -8.5-110

Current Line: Cincinnati -9.5-110

Summary: The Bearcats took some money this week off the opener. The game moved a solid point off the -8.5 opener with a few 10's popping up around the country.

Connecticut needs the win this week to get some security and earn bowl eligibility. The win would even their record at 6-6 and give them back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The Bearcats, however, have a few things to play for as well. If Cincinnati wins and West Virginia loses to South Florida, then the Bearcats will represent the Big East in the BCS. Cincinnati starting quarterback, Zach Collaros, is out for the season. He has been replaced the last few games by sophomore, Munchie Legaux, who has thrown for 532 yards with 2 td's and 2 interceptions.

Date: Saturday, December 3rd Georgia Dome – Atlanta, GA

Game: 341 Georgia Bulldogs vs. 342 LSU Tigers (SEC Championship Game)

Opener: LSU -10-110

Current Line: LSU -13-110

Summary: LSU is the strongest early move of the week at this time. The Tigers opened as a -10 point favorite but money has driven the game as high as -13 by Monday morning.

The SEC Championship Game pits two heavy contenders with strong defenses against each other. LSU, ranked #1 in the nation, are 12-0 and are on track for a rematch with Alabama in the BCS title game. The Bulldogs, however, have almost been equally impressive. They have won 10 straight games and are now 10-2 and ranked #12 in the nation. A win for Georgia over LSU would guarantee the Bulldogs a spot in the Sugar Bowl. Georgia leading rusher, Isaiah Crowell, missed last game but is listed as probable for this match-up. Crowell leads the team with 832 yards and 5 TD's on the year.
