San Diego Chargers (4-7, 1-4 away) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-8, 2-3 home)

Philip Rivers and the disappointing San Diego Chargers head to Jacksonville tonight to take on the Jaguars at EverBank Field in Florida.

The Chargers have lost six straight and have dropped to last place in the AFC West. They started the season 4-1 but have stumbled since the bye-week and are now in position to miss the playoffs. Last week vs. the Broncos they lost 16-13 as Tim Tebow and company pulled off another 4^th quarter miracle in their drive for a divisional title. The rumor mill has been churning this week and head coach Norv Turner will likely get the proverbial axe once the season has finished.

Jacksonville decided not to wait to season end to implement their changes and will field a new team of coaches as well as a new owner tonight for MNF. Head Coach, Jack del Rio, was fired and replaced this week with interim coach and defensive coordinator, Mel Tucker. Tucker will attempt to inject some life into the Jaguars offense and hope his defense continues to dominate. The Jacksonville Jaguars defense is ranked #4 overall in the NFL allowing only 292.5 yards per game. The offense is a different story and is ranked dead last at 250 yards gained per game.

New prospective owner, Shahid Khan, is expected to be in attendance so the Jaguars may have a new sense of optimism and excitement during the game. Quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, received a vote of confidence from Tucker this week and will start after being benched by del Rio during last week’s loss. The rookie has thrown for 1,371 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions for a quarterback rating of 62.2.
