Wimbledon is the preeminent tennis tournament of the year and as a bettor, it’s always a fun time to get in the action as a lot of sportsbooks will hook you up with the best signup bonus of the year just to get you excited for the big event.
This year’s men’s draw will be particularly interesting as Novak Djokovic will try to make amends for his French Open slipup. As a matter of fact, Rafael Nadal will as well. And so will Andy Murray…and Roger Federer…but can any of the Big Four win? Here are the two best bets for the men’s.
Two Best Bets For The Men
Novak Djokovic (+120): The world’s #1 player has won Wimbledon twice in the last four years and has gone to the semifinals, at least, in each of the last five years. He won the Australian Open and lost in the French Open final, so it’s safe to say he is playing well. He also has an 84.91% winning rate at Wimbledon, so Djokovic is obviously excellent on grass. His biggest obstacle might not be the competition, but a letdown after losing the French Open in the final for the third time in four years, thus losing a chance to complete the Grand Slam.
Roger Federer (+600): It’s sad, but we might be seeing Federer’s last stand right now as he was eliminated in the third round at the Australian Open, then the quarterfinals at the French Open. He hasn’t won a Grand Slam since Wimbledon in 2012 and has made it to just one final since, losing last year in London to Djokovic. But if Federer has a chance to win his 18th Grand Slam anywhere, it is Wimbledon, where he has won seven times (including five in a row from 2003 to 2007) and his winning percentage of 89.02% is his best success rate at any of the Grand Slams. Again, if we’re going to see any glimpses of the old Federer, it will be on the grass of Wimbledon.
