A few teams in the NFL have been as dominant as the Arizona Cardinals during the 2021 campaign, especially on the road.
Arizona has dealt with injuries to star players, and now rumors are circulating about Kliff Kingsbury being pursued by the Oklahoma Sooners, but that hasn’t stopped the squad from squashing the competition every week.
In Week 13, the Cardinals may finally see the return of one of the best quarterback-receiver duos in the game. Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins are trending toward returning to the field this week, and it couldn’t come at a better time in terms of their opponent.
Arizona will go head-to-head against the lowly Chicago Bears this weekend and will put their flawless 6-0 road record on the line at Soldier Field. This is the perfect kind of tune-up game scenario for the Cardinals before they go up against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams in Week 14 back at home in Phoenix.
Even if the Cardinals are without stars Murray and Hopkins, Arizona will be favored to come out on top against this Bears team. Chicago is without Khalil Mack for the rest of the season while trying to get rookie quarterback Justin Fields as comfortable as possible running the show under center.
The Bears lost five games in a row before coming out with a win against the Detroit Lions last week on Thanksgiving Day. Unfortunately, things won’t get any easier against the title-contending Cardinals, who could be at full strength on offense come Sunday in Chicago.
While Justin Fields is making good progress, he has not yet been cleared to return to action. Andy Dalton will start in his place again on Sunday.@Athletico | #AZvsCHIhttps://t.co/FHFnF6jDdg
