Caleb Williams, Quarterback, USC
The Men of Troy have played two games this year already and no one has played better than Mr Williams. In week one, he played great with a 5-0 TD to INT-ratio.

So far he has led the Trojans to 2 wins.Averaging 298.5 yards, 4.5 TDs and 73.5% completion rate, as well as having a few of the insane highlights that we have become accustomed to with Caleb Williams.

It is going to be difficult to knock him off of the pedestal.

Jordan Travis, Quarterback, Florida State
The Florida State Seminoles may have had the most impressive performance of week 1. Travis may not have even been the best player in the game for the Noles, because receiver Keon Coleman was incredible, but he was a star in his own right. He put up 342 yards, 4 touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown.

Florida State looks to have a weak schedule and they could be undefeated, meaning Travis will be in New York.

Michael Penix Jr. Quarterback, Washington

After a great and surprising season, Michael Penix Jr picked up right where he left off. Dominating Boise State in week 1, Penix was special. He led the Huskies with 450 passing yards and 5 touchdowns in a beatdown. Penix has the arm strength and the offense in Washington will keep him in the mix all season.

Travis Hunter, Wide Receiver and Cornerback, Colorado
The Former number-one recruit in the country finally showed up in a BIG way on Saturday. Hunter played nearly every snap. He is known as a corner but may be the best receiver in the country as well.

He had 11 catches and 119 receiving yards. He had a touchdown called back. He also had an amazing highlight interception to keep the TCU Horned Frogs out of the end zone and helped the Buffs secure the upset.

Shedeur Sanders, Quarterback, Colorado
Welcome to the Big Show, Colorado. Sheduer Sanders led an impressive offensive onslaught to the tune of 510 yards and a 4-0 TD to INT-ratio. There were some questions if Shedeur could play at a high level, and he showed that he could absolutely play at this and the next level.

Other players in the running: Sam Hartman, QB, Notre Dame; Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina; Bo Nix, QB, Oregon; Blake Corum, RB, Michigan; Drew Allar, QB, Penn State; Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama.
