Heisman Ladder Week 4 | News Article by inspin.com

Caleb Williams, QB, USC
A little bit slower of a game from the Trojans last week, but Caleb Williams was still Superman.

Their defense is bad again, and that could possibly be the opening in his campaign to be the second player to ever win 2 Heisman Trophies.

Well, that and the looming game against the #2 contender in the coming weeks.

Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington
Mr. Penix Jr. has been absolutely SENSATIONAL this season. The Huskies have been one of, if not the most dominant team in the entire Country so far this season, and Penix has been the reason.

He has the benefit of having three NFL receivers, but that only helps (see Joe Burrow 2019). He has tossed for 300 and 3 touchdowns in every game this season.

He will have to beat USC and continue to be this player to knock off Williams though, but he can get it done.

Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
The Oregon Ducks took full advantage of the “Prime” time spot against the Colorado Buffalos.

The Ducks were a massive favorite, and they delivered in a big way. Nix was the best player on the field again. He was 28-33 for 276 and 3 touchdowns.

He is completing 79% of his throws and 11 touchdowns.

Longhorns Ducks Trojans Seminoles Huskies

Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State
The Seminoles had their toughest test of the young season with a trip to Death Valley against Clemson. For a bit of the game, the Noles were struggling to move the football.

However, he still had a great day. He threw for 2 touchdowns and ran for another one.

He will need to have a bunch of massive games considering they are playing some pretty pedestrian competition over the next month.

Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
Ewers bounced back this week after a little bit of a sleepy effort in week 3. The Longhorns blew out Baylor 38-6. Ewers was great tossing for 293 and a touchdown with another score on the ground.

Texas has a big game against Kansas this week.

Other Contenders: Sam Hartman (QB, Notre Dame), Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado), Jayden Daniels (QB, LSU)
