Sunday NFL Wild Card Games | News Article by inspin.com

The Sunday NFL slate is enticing with 4 games that have major Playoff implications. Some of the scenarios will be much cleaner after the finals on Saturday, but as we sit here right now multiple teams can win the division, or miss the playoffs outright.

We are set up for a wild couple of days on the gridiron.

Sunday starts with 2 important NFC South division games. Both the Buccaneers and the Saints can win the division with a win and a loss from the other, but the rest of the potential outcomes are very complicated.

The Buccaneers are taking on the Panthers in Carolina. They will be motivated and should go in there and take care of business.

If they do falter, then the Saints will need to beat the Falcons at home to earn the NFC South division title. The Falcons also have an outside chance, but I am not going to get into that as it would take many things for it to happen.

Much easier situations… The winner of the Bills at Dolphins in the night game is going to be the #2 or #3 seed in the AFC.

Sunday NFL Wild Card Games
Teams Teams Location – Time Watch
Buffalo Bills vs Pittsburgh Steelers Highmark Stadium Kickoff 4:30 PM ET CBS
Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys AT& Stadium Kickoff 4:30 PM ET FOX
Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions Ford Field Kickoff 8:15 PM ET NBC

Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raymond Jame Stadium Kickoff 8:15 PM ET ESPN

The Dolphins have locked up a playoff birth no matter what, but the Bills may miss out if they lose. If the Steelers win in Baltimore, and the Jaguars win, then the Bills will miss out on the Playoffs. A lot of interesting scenarios.

As for the AFC South, the Jaguars win and they are in as the division champion. If they lose, they will need the Ravens and the Raiders to win to get into the wildcard, as the winner of the Colts and Texans would be the AFC South Champion.

I think that the Jacksonville Jaguars will be able to get it done against the Titans as there seems to be some turmoil there and this era of Titans football may be ending.
