The Portland Trail Blazers will travel east to face the Detroit Pistons. The Trail Blazers are in the 13th place in the Western Conference but only a few games out of the play-in.
They can still make the Playoffs if they string together a winning streak. Conversely, the Pistons are rebuilding and in last place in the Eastern Conference.
They will not make the Playoffs this year but may next year with the right draft picks.

As I write this, the Trail Blazers are yet to play the Orlando Magic in their Sunday game. They are coming off a 129-111 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, their third in a row. Portland was down 31-19 after the first quarter and could not mount a comeback.
Damian Lillard and Cam Reddish combined for 60 points, and Lillard also had eight assists and two steals. The Trail Blazers’ problems came from their bench and on defense. The Portland bench only had 23 points, and the Trail Blazers allowed the Hawks to shoot 57.1% from the field.
When a team shoots that well, they almost always win.

The Pistons are yet to play their Saturday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and their most recent game was a 117-115 loss to the Chicago Bulls.
The Pistons were down by 15 heading into the final quarter. They had a chance to win, but Jaden Ivey called a timeout when Detroit had none left. This resulted in a turnover and gave the ball back to Chicago.
Even though Ivey made a costly mistake, he still finished with 18 points. However, Bojan Bogdanovic led all scorers with 34 points.

This game will be close, but I have to give the edge to the Trail Blazers. Both teams are playing shorthanded, but the Trail Blazers still have Damian Lillard.
